MTH154-CXP combines classic horn solutions with modern technologies.
Powerful neodymium 15" midbass with 4" voice coil and large aluminum radiator is loaded on hybrid front loaded horn with reduced throat chamber. Ported rear chamber makes this top usable without dedicated midbass down to 60Hz.
Lightweight composite mid horn is equipped with phase pluf that reduces distortion and speaker's throat compression.
HF-section is based on our biradial cluster waveguide with 2" exit 4" diaphragm neodymium compression driver. The waveguide has stable directivity and delivers sound on significant distances because of 300mm length.
Accurately developed high frequency unit allowed to reach 600Hz cutoff frequency so the entire range with frequency-dependent directivity is radiated from one point source. As a result MTH154-CXP maintains precisely uniform off-axis response and the sound is spared from typical 15" cone speaker's distortions in upper mids region.
MTH154-CXP is a universal horn top ready both for single use, and for horizontal and vertical arrays, for which the system is equipped with variable angle rigging hardware H.MTH154. The system's quick transfer into array mode is carried out by unscrewing 6 screws and turning the horn.
Uncompromising sound quality, extreme sound pressure for this system's type and wide functionality makes MTH154-CXP applicable in club installations, in average and major rentals, as well as in stadium PA systems and other large venues.
Speaker is covered with impact and abrasion resistant polyurea and can be equipped with rigging hardware.
