HS21 is designed for use in large format systems. Due to the combination of horn directivity and long throw clusters of this subwoofers operate quite predictable and are well controlled.
The subwoofer is built around a powerful 21" speaker with a 6" voice coil, neodymium magnet, demodulation ring and silicone spider that reduces the level of gain. Due to the huge carbon cone area and linear displacement +-11mm this speaker moves a huge volume of air.
The extended upper bass frequency range allows to use HS21 in systems without separate midbass.
HS21 will be adequate and economical where you need big amount of solid, loud bass doesnt matter if it's open air of big venue. This is a large, extremely efficienct hybrid scoop subwoofer that doesn't compromise on compactness or weight - the whole design effort was about efficiency, low-end reproduction and smooth control - and it pays off.
Speaker is covered with impact and abrasion resistant polyurea.
