FR2843 is a new generation portable two-way column array. MF-HF-section is based on a group of four 3.5" fullrange speakers with 90x30 degree directivity which creates uniform coverage area in the nearfield.
The 3.5" speakers are equipped with lightweight plastic frames and neodymium magnets. The group radiator linear frequency response made it possible to extend a frequency response up to 16kHz. Using cone loudspeakers instead of horn compression drivers in high-frequency section allows the sound to depend less on the venue charachteristics due to its dispersion in the nearfield because of reflections reduction and also completely avoids feedback, which is important in small venues, karaoke and conferences.
LF-section of two ultra-lightweight highly sensitive 8.5" speakers with 2.5" coils and neodymium magnets provides powerful midbass and makes FR2843 usable either with or without subs. We worked consistantly on reducing speakers weight and size and gained the system with unprecedented combination of compactness and efficiency with a weight of only 14.5kg! Such a pair of speakers can be easily carried by one person and placed in minimum space, its compact dimensions allow to save on transport.
Another important feature of FR2843 is its ability to combine into a cluster of two which significantly expands its range of scalability and use. Mounting plate P.2843 serves for mounting the cluster on a bracket or fixing it on 35mm stand. The haging point on the back pannel complies with VESA 100x100 standard fitting ordinary TV-brackets.
Similarity of FR823 and FR2843 constructions allows to use them both in conjunction in distributed systems.
The series is focused on its use as portable acoustics in minor rent and as installation systems in halls with problem acoustics.
Standard presets contains linear phase FIR-filters.
Speaker is covered with impact and abrasion resistant polyurea.
